from an interview ‘I first got interested in the work of London based Greyworld, when I heard about their Colorstops installation in 2001. This work was a series of bus shelters that softly sang to people walking past based on the colour of their clothing. What excites me about their work is that they make people to think about the space they are in and encourage spontaneous interaction in a place where you least expect it.’ i can’t say how much i like this, i think it’s the singing bus stop aspect which i like, machines which sound human (and humans who sound like machines) have always fascinated me.
